All-Clad 4-Square Waffle Iron
This waffle iron is a beast.
Weighing in at around 14.5 pounds, this kitchen essential makes light work of any waffle filled breakfast. Pick your desired brownness setting (1-7) and wait for the beep. Presto!
Build Quality
This waffle iron, for the most part, is sturdy and well-built. The only part of the product I didn’t like was the front piece surrounding the dial. It’s plastic. The fact that the “chrome” is stuck onto a plastic front makes me concerned that there might be an eyesore in my future. It’s held up well though, and if taken care of properly it shouldn’t be a problem.
Cost
Wow is this thing expensive. At around $250 from All-Clad and around $199 on Amazon, this waffle iron is toward the top of the charts as far as cost. With that said, it feels hefty and really does make perfect waffles every time.
Features
According to All-Clad, this waffle iron has a steam wicking technology that helps to reduce soggy waffles. I don’t know that I’d call it technology, but I would say that it works. The waffles are perfectly crispy on the outside and beautifully fluffy on the inside. No need to through they waffles in the oven to fix what steam would have otherwise ruined.
The Verdict
If you can afford to splurge, do. This kitchen tool is beautiful and works really well!
